2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) is an extra security layer that helps to protect access to an account. This helps to ensure that only you have access to your account, even if someone knows your password. A Lobbi user needs to enable 2FA themselves, unfortunately, we cannot do this for the user.
What different types of users can you create in Lobbi PMS?
There are 2 types of users, one is a PMS user and the other is a Lobbi app user.
With PMS user data, you log in to the PMS.
With Lobbi apps user data, you can log in to the Housekeeping app and Lobbi app, as well as view credit card information.
I already have a PMS user, can I use it to log in and view credit card information?
No, viewing credit card information is only possible when you have a Lobbi user with the 'manager' role. In this article, you can read further on how to create a Lobbi apps user.
-
Go to the Management> User tab in Lobbi PMS.
-
Click on Add Lobbi App user. Fill in the Name, Email, and Password fields.
Important: Select Manager as role. The new user is created and added to the Lobbi Apps User list. -
Then click on this icon and log in with your Lobbi Manager user details.
-
Go to Settings and click on Enable Two-Factor Authentication. You will see a QR code, leave this screen open. In the next step, you will need this QR code.
-
Download an Authentication app on your smartphone. This app generates temporary verification codes that you must enter when logging in with your Lobbi Manager user. We recommend Google Authenticator. Go to the Android Play Store or Apple App Store and search for 'Google Authenticator'.
-
Open Google Authenticator on your smartphone and scan the QR code displayed on the "2FA setup" page on your computer.
Click on this icon at the bottom right of the screen and then on this icon
-
Enter the temporary verification code displayed in the authentication app into the required field.
-
All steps are completed, and 2FA is now enabled. These steps are only necessary the first time. From now on, every time you log in, you will be asked to enter a verification code displayed in your authentication app. This helps ensure that only you have access to your account, even if someone knows your password.
