1. Install the battery
- Locate the indentation in the bottom left corner of the device's back cover.
- Lift the back cover up from this point to detach it.
- Slide the battery into the exposed slot with the gold connectors at the top aligned.
- Plug the provided cable into the port with the lightning bolt symbol to charge the reader.
- Hold down the power button on the right-hand side until the screen turns on after the reader is fully charged.
Important:
It's recommended that you keep your Stripe Terminal plugged in and powered on at all times.
This ensures that your device is always up-to-date and ready to use whenever you need it.
2. Connecting Stripe Terminal to the internet
In order to use the Stripe Terminal, it is essential to connect it to the internet.

- Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to open the settings menu.
- Tap on the settings button and enter the admin PIN 07139.
- Once inside the settings menu, select Wi-Fi settings and choose the network
you wish to connect to. - If you want to switch to a different network,
the reader will automatically disconnect from the current one. - To exit the settings screen, click the back arrow located in the top left corner.
3. Activating your Stripe Terminal
Before you can start processing payments with Stripe, you need to connect your reader to your Stripe account. Follow these simple steps to activate your Stripe Terminal:- Power on your Stripe Terminal
- Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal the settings button.
Tap the button and enter the admin PIN 07139. - From the settings menu, select Generate Pairing Code.
- In your Stripe dashboard, navigate to Payments>Locations.
- Click the + New button to create a new location.
- Enter the unique three-word pairing code that is displayed on your card reader in the Registration Code field.
- Click Save to pair your Stripe Terminal with your Stripe account.
That's it! Your Stripe Terminal is now connected to your Stripe account,
and you're ready to start processing payments.
